Chapter 2019: 

BACK TO REALITY
 
Dear Parents / Guardians, we hope you enjoyed the festive season and that you have settled back into the norm.  We have had a few new joiners recently so here is some information we thought everyone might find useful, and a few reminders to help ensure time spent at DAC is time well spent!
The DAC Plan
Last year we introduced a few new activities which the boys really enjoyed so for now, this is officially what we do in addition to other activities each day: 

Monday – X box S – Let the games commence!
Tuesday – Arts & Crafts 
Wednesday –  Story time! Group reading sessions!
Thursday – X box One S – Let the games continue!
Fridays – Film Club Fridays! (with freshly made popcorn of course). 

The boys are permitted to play outside daily provided they follow the club rules and the weather is appropriate. They have the choice to take part in rounders, football, basketball or any free play in general.
The new out door climbing apparatus nick named the ‘jungle gym’ is also proving popular with the boys so they do have a lot of ways to keep active. 
 
COATS. HATS. SCARVES. GLOVES.
A prerequisite for going outside on days when it is cold! Appropriate clothing must be worn.

Snack buffet: From 4pm we offer a daily nutritional buffet and the boys can choose whatever they wish from our selection. After 4:30pm snack is only available to those who arrive from other clubs. From 5:15pm everyone can help themselves to seconds. 
Monday to Thursday ALL boys must take part in the 30 minute homework / reading period!  Boys in reception and year 1 are encouraged to read to a staff member and then they have the option of choosing from a wide range of age appropriate books so they can continue reading independently or in groups. This is intended to be a quiet study period, so boys who continuously disrupt this period will face sanctions and their parents will be informed. 
Birthdays
We like make a bit of a fuss on birthdays so please inform us in advance if your child is ever due to be at DAC on their birthday ;0)
Sibling Discount – 12% off!
If you have two boys who attend the club Monday – Friday you will be entitled to a discounted weekly price of £55 for first the child and £50 for the second child. 
Ad hoc Attendance
If you would like your son to attend on an ad hoc basis, you need to email or send a message to the team at least 48 hours prior. Please email; TheTeam@DreamworksAftercshoolClub.co.uk or you can send a message to the DAC mobile; 07596849761.
 
There is no ad hoc availability on Thursdays until further notice as this session is full.  

Invoice Payments
All booked places must be paid for and once an invoice has been issued it can not be amended. Please ensure you are paying the amount you have been invoiced for only. 
 
Departure Policy 
Parents or carers MUST sign children out before they leave and write the time of collection.  If you require another person who is not listed on the registration form to collect your child, you must inform us in advance and send us a picture of the person or a password that they must use if a photo has not been sent to the team. If the manager has any concerns regarding the person collecting he/she will contact the main parent or carer for confirmation.
Medicine 
If your child requires any medication while at DAC, please ensure you have completed a Permission to Administer Medicine form and that the medicine you leave with us is within it’s expiry date. 
Trainers
Please ensure your child knows that they must bring their trainers with them to club if they wish to play on the courts after the homework period or on Fridays. Boys are not permitted to return to their classrooms once they have joined DAC. 
Comments & Suggestions
We value your suggestions on how we can make this a better service for you so if there is anything you think we can do to help improve our service, please do let us know. There is a comments and suggestions box on display each day so please feel free to pick up a form, complete and return at your convenience.
