So far, so good…

So far, so good…
News Alert: It’s the year 2020 and DAC continues to move forward and upward, here is a summary of what has been happening at DAC and what will be introduced in the months ahead:

A spot of golf…
We have new indoor mini golf strips which were originally intended as a new activity for our reception to year two boys but which turned out to be so popular with all ages, we brought in sets suitable for the older boys too! We are looking forward to taking this activity outside when the weather improves!

Air hockey…
We now have three mini air hockey tables and a larger air hockey table.

Mini Arcade Games
Think Space Invaders, PAC MAN, Galaga, (the games some of us dinosaurs grew up on…), we have six mini retro arcade games perfect for little fingers! Call it an introduction to Gaming History.
About Chess…
  • The chess club runs from 4:45pm – 5:30pm on Tuesdays. All boys who attend the chess club are expected to remain until the end of the club so please collect boys after 5:30pm.
  • Jonathan (chess tutor) has identified some really talented players already and there is a real opportunity for some of the boys to compete against children in other schools so he has started introducing workbooks for the boys to take home and study from and which they will also need during the club each Tuesday. The books cost £2.50 each so if you would like your son to become more advanced in chess, please let me know and I will ensure he receives them.
  • Due to the level of interest we have received we sometimes need to restrict numbers to ensure all abilities receive adequate tuition during each session. Once beginners move to intermediate level, we will be able to allow new beginners to join.
  • If you would like your son to attend the club and he does not already please let Edith or Guner know and we will ensure they attend.

Coming soon; football sessions at DAC!
In a bid to get the boys more active while at DAC, (and free up your mornings on the weekends ;0) we will be introducing coaching sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays taught by an external football coach. The sessions will run from 4:45pm – 5:45pm and will cost £2.50 per session for boys attending DAC on that day and £5 per session for boys attending just the football session. If you would like your son to attend the sessions please send an email to the team confirming which sessions you would want them to attend.

Layer Up!
Hats, gloves and jackets are needed if the boys want to go outside and play during this season / days when it is cold. (If the boys get too hot they can always remove layers).

Back Gate
Please do not use the back gate to collect your sons from DAC. Please use the main gate at the front of the school.

Parking Wardens ;0(
Parking wardens having been giving out tickets recently so please park in the designated bays on surrounding roads. Better safe than sorry!

All change!
Mohamed will be leaving us at half term, I am sure you will join us in wishing him the best in his future endeavours. Mrs Paoli has very kindly agreed to support the team on busy days until a suitable replacement is found.

Have a great half term!
